Delhi chicken curry! Yum! The scent from this court will titillate any nose and stomach! And with large, juicy pieces of chicken are right in line with the traditional cuisine of India!


For 4 people

Ingredients
1 whole chicken cut into approx. 10 pieces
1 cup sunflower oil
1 chopped onion
3 cloves minced garlic
1 dl. Greek yogurt
3 lauerbærblade
2 tsp. salt
3 whole cardamom capsules
5 whole cloves
1/2 cinnamon stick (smulret between fingers)
1/2 cup peeled whole almonds

Masala
1 tbsp. coriander
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp chili (to taste)
1/2 teaspoon ginger

Preparation
Tubes masala'en with a little water until it becomes a paste.
Put the oil in a large saucepan, add the chopped onion and garlic, chicken pieces, yogurt, bay leaves, masalapasta, the whole spices, salt and 1 cup water.

Cook right up and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Turn the chicken pieces and simmer for a further 10 minutes. Turn chicken again and simmer until it has the desired consistency (max 20 minutes).

Add the almonds 5 minutes before you take the saucepan off the burner.

Serve with basmati rice, homemade mango chutney , lime pickle and freshly baked naan bread . MUMS!
